”Moi” is “me” in French and “Cha” is “tea” in Chinese. Moicha is about taking time to take care of our health - so we can take care of others. Inspired by the long tradition of matcha rituals, we’re here to offer the best everyday matcha as part of your self care journey.

How it started

“Not all matcha is good for you”

We tasted many matcha brands outside Japan; There are too many low quality, contaminated, and fake matcha in the market. Yes, some of them are good matcha, yet mostly overpriced.

Choosing the right matcha is becoming tricky and costly. So we started Moicha in 2021 to offer the right quality matcha at the right price for more people to enjoy.

With 16 years experience of sourcing teas for the industry, we work closely with a 180 years family farm in the heart of Uji, where matcha was first created 800 years ago. Our matcha balances quality and affordability - perfect for everday brew.

    "Kaizen" is a Japanese philosophy which means incorporating “good change” into our everyday lives. We don’t believe in a quick-fix approach for self-care. Small but cosistent steps will have big changes over time. Let’s do it the kaizen way - Drink 1 cup of Moicha every day to stay healthy, calm, and focus.

  • Our Founder’s Story

    Mel started her career as a tea trader in 2008 and spent over 10 years travelling to tea estates across Asia, India, and Africa. She is fortunate to learn the art of tea directly from the growers. From all teas, Mel believes matcha is the most unique and beneficial for health. She started Moi Cha in 2021 to share matcha goodness to the world.
